Bird Watching on the River Crouch - 14th - 16th February 2025
Join us for a weekend of bird watching on the River Crouch in Essex, in collaboration with Bird Aware Essex Coast. Learn about the nesting and feeding sites of sea and shore birds around the River Crouch, whilst enjoying sailing onboard our Bermudan ketch, Faramir.
Every winter, thousands of protected waders and wildfowl travel thousands of miles to the Essex coast estuaries. By participating in this voyage, you can help collect data for Bird Aware that will help protect these species.
There is the possibility to go on shore and study the wildlife from land during the weekend.
Home-cooked food, life jackets and waterproof clothing all provided. Age 18+
Sailing from Fambridge Yacht Haven and back.
You can either pay a deposit to secure your place or full payment. Receiving the full payment for the voyage enables us to expediate the work we do with disadvantaged young people.
