Trustee Charles taking part in the Brighton Marathon
As part of Cirdan’s Year of Challenge, our wonderful trustee Charles will be taking part in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 7th April to help raise funds for a new minibus. Training is going well, he is currently up to 14.5 miles!

A letter of thanks
I initially found out about The Cirdan Sailing Trust after searching online for adventurous activities that S could engage in. After a serious of traumas between 2018-2019, S has been suffering poor mental health and was extremely withdrawn, fearful of all old and new activities, mostly non verbal and had been unemployed for four years.

Focus on Duke of Edinburgh voyages in August
Our focus for August is Duke of Edinburgh voyages. We run a number of Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residentials onboard our beautiful 111-year-old Edwardian racing yacht, Duet. Living and working in the confines of a sailing vessel is the best way to form friendships, build teamwork learn new skills and have great fun and adventure!
Join us for Bird Watching on the Blackwater
In collaboration with Bird Aware Essex Coast, join us for a weekend of bird watching. Learn about the nesting and feeding sites of sea and shore birds around the Blackwater Estuary, whilst enjoying sailing onboard our Bermudan ketch, Faramir.
Focus on young carers in June
Our focus for June is young carers. Being a young carer can be hugely demanding both physically and mentally. Our voyages allow people to take time away from their caring roles and improve their wellbeing, as well as problem solving, self-esteem, confidence and building friendships.
