Having now reserved voyages for a number of groups that already have their sailing agendas in place we can give you some idea of where the vessels will be sailing from throughout the 2015 season.
Queen Galadriel – starts her sailing season on 25 April in Ipswich which will be her home port until she sails to the South Coast towards the end of June. Once on the South Coast, Queen Galadriel will be based mainly in Gosport from where she will sail until the beginning of October.
Faramir – starts her season slightly earlier than the other boats, on 1st April sailing from the East Coast. We intend dividing Faramir’s base between the Rivers Orwell and Crouch until she sets sail in early July for her traditional summer ports on the North East coast (Hartlepool and North Shields). Faramir’s return back to the East Coast is scheduled for the latter part of September.
Duet – starts her season on 25 April with her base mainly in Burnham-on Crouch although as with Faramir she will also sail from Ipswich on the River Orwell. Duet is likely to stay on the East Coast for most of the season where she will take part in as many of the Old Gaffers events as possible. With a booking already in place to participate in the ASTO Small Ships’ Race in Cowes in October, Duet will head South in late September or earlier if there is demand and then return to her base to finish the season.
