The 2014 Little Britain Challenge Cup took place in Cowes from the 4th to the 7th of September. This sailing regatta which is run as a charitable event is organised specifically for those connected with the construction industry.
Despite a distinct lack of wind and only one race completed out of the four scheduled, everyone had a fantastic time ashore and afloat, taking advantage of the many team-building and networking opportunities that were on offer.
Racing was organised by the world-famous Royal Yacht Squadron, a fantastic BBQ and Crew Party was held at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club and the Prize Giving Dinner in the Event Centre on Cowes Yacht Haven.
The Little Britain Challenge Cup event has been raising funds for charity for over 25 years and Cirdan has been fortunate enough to be one of the main beneficiaries with the funds received being used to support in excess of 1,700 young people aboard Cirdan vessels.
