As part of our 2016 sailing schedule, we are planning three voyages suitable for students seeking an exciting residential experience as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. These voyages, which are also open to any young person aged 16 – 25 looking for challenge and adventure, will take place on Duet on either the East Coast (Essex/Suffolk) or South Coast (Dorset/Hampshire). Please see dates below;
Sat 23rd – Thurs 28th July 2016 – 6 day voyage sailing on the East/South Coast. Voyage Fee – £485 per person (an optional bursary of £140 has already been applied).
Sat 6th – Thurs 11th August 2016 – 6 day voyage sailing on the East/South Coast. Voyage Fee – £485 per person (an optional bursary of £140 has already been applied).
Sat 20th – Thurs 25th August 2016 – 6 day voyage sailing on the East/South Coast. This voyage could be tied in with the ASTO Dartmouth to Gosport Small Ships Race if there is enough interest. Voyage Fee – £485 per person (an optional bursary of £140 has already been applied).
You do not need previous experience in sailing as the participants will have varying degrees of experience from nothing to keen sailors. All you need to bring other than yourself is a sleeping bag/pillow, warm clothes and stout shoes/boots. We supply the use of waterproofs, safety equipment and everything necessary for a residential afloat. On board food is also included in the voyage fee. There is also an option to gain accreditation (RYA Competent Crew Certificate) at a small additional cost.
We have only 7 places on each voyage for participants to work alongside our 2 professional crew, so if you are interested in this exciting residential experience please call 01621 776684 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information as soon as possible.
